The pilot manufacturing service is suitable for low-volume production of customized silicon photonic ICs through dedicated engineering runs. It includes custom and non-MPW prototyping. The ePIXfab member foundries are capable of tweaking their process to provide various levels of customization. Unlike MPWs, the end-user has full ownership of wafer real estate.
