The Silicon Electronic-Photonic Integrated Circuits (SiEPIC) Program is designed to train undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers across Canada in the discipline of ICT systems that involves miniaturization of optical components onto silicon chips. Since 2007, and with NSERC CREATE funding during 2012-2018, and funded today via the SiEPICfab consortium, our workshops have trained over 500 students from 41 different universities.
JePPIX brings together the European InP and Triplex photonic integrated circuit (PIC) supply chain as a coherent force to advance and promote PIC technology. We promote and facilitate an open-access, horizontal and generic foundry model that keeps pace with the market, bringing in new users, enabling specialization, and facilitating the supply chain agility we need for new sectors.
EPIC is the industry association that promotes the sustainable development of organizations working in the field of photonics in Europe. EPIC publishes market and technology reports, organizes technical workshops and B2B roundtables, supports EU funding proposals, advocacy and lobbying, education and training activities, standards and roadmaps, pavilions at exhibitions.
